One wonders to what extent this is due to our own lack of effort and civic engagement?
Fascinating. I wish you would add some links so it is possible to forward some of your posts to Twitter, Facebook, Google and other sources.
And here’s another astonishing fact – while more than half of Americans are Protestant, there is not a single Protestant justice in our current supreme court. There are 6 Roman Catholics, and 3 Jewish justices. And we wonder why their opinions are so conservative.
Ah good point. And from what I’ve read, most of them are practicing Catholics as well, not merely the cultural kind.
